Richard Kortje, FMA , FCSI

Richard Kortje is a Vice President and Senior Investment Advisor with Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management. He has been advising clients on their wealth since 1986, working for major bank-owned brokerages before joining Canada’s leading independent global wealth management firm in 2004.

Richard sees client relationships as partnerships that start with an understanding of your values, goals and attitudes towards risk and return. He specializes is establishing a clear process and plan that lead you towards your objectives, with regular checkpoints to review progress and answer questions. His proactive, forward-looking perspective helps to identify opportunities, anticipate challenges and avoid surprises.

Richard is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FSCI), recognized as the highest honour in the Canadian financial services industry. Representing individual integrity and supreme professionalism, the designation is reserved for financial services professionals who have met the most exacting standards for industry experience, advanced education and solid endorsement from their peers and superiors.

Richard is also a Financial Management Advisor (FMA), and has successfully completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Branch Manager Course (BM), Professional Financial Planning Course (PFP), Investment Management Techniques (IMT), Wealth Management Techniques Course (WMT) and Life Underwriter BC License Qualification.

Born and raised in Saskatoon, he attended the University of Saskatchewan. Married with two children and committed to the Vancouver community, he has assisted in organized charitable fundraisers for the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation and is a strong supporter of the Canadian Cancer Society. Richard is also a proud inductee into the Team Category in the Saskatoon Sport Hall of Fame, Saskatchewan Sport Hall of Fame, as well as the Saskatchewan Hockey Hall of Fame.

Paul is responsible for wealth & estate planning at Canaccord Genuity Wealth & Estate Planning Services Ltd. Prior to working at Canaccord, Paul founded a financial planning service, Strategic Insurance, specializing in wealth management and tax planning services which focused on unique and advanced planning techniques. Before founding his financial planning practice, Paul had over 10 years’ management experience at large multinational manufacturing companies.

Paul holds certification as a Certified Health Specialist and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), a professional financial designation specializing in developing effective solutions for individuals, business owners and professionals in the areas of income replacement, risk management, estate planning and wealth transfer.

Anne Jackson, BBA, CMA

Wealth & Estate Planning Specialist

Anne specializes in providing tax planning solutions for our clients, and holds a Business Administration Degree from Simon Fraser University, with a concentration in Accounting and Finance.  She also holds a Certified Management Accountant(CMA) designation and brings years of taxation and accounting experience to the group.  Anne is insurance licensed and is currently working towards her CFP designation.

Anne’s accounting and independent taxation consultingexperience has given her knowledge and skills in advanced financial, tax and estate planning strategies for high net worth clients.  She is committed to fully understanding a client's individual situation, in order to create and implement tax efficient, long-term successful solutions for each client.
